Peepo Idealuminosa at Brightspot

Photobucket

A friend approached us while we were assembling the Wed's by Weda Agustino's shoes booth on Trademark event. Well, this is another exhibition project named Brightspot, held in Jakarta. This time we make an instalation for a clothing brand named Peepo-Idealuminosa.
The design made by themselves, quite simple mix of steel and rusty pinewood. As they tend to make an unfinished theme, we put a bit of white dashed paint to the pinewood.

Trademark

Photobucket
Here's our latest project, an exhibition booth ordered by Wed's By Weda Agustino on Trademark. Our client wants an 'unfinished theme' for his booth so we used grass hay and used pine wood which is our speciality on Arcadia's products.

The old wood grain gives a perfect touch as it's combined with the color of shoes.

As the regulation of the exhibition, we didn't allow to put a nail, fischer, or anything that could break the partition so we hang every shelves with ropes that connected to the top of the partition

New (Real) Workshop

Finally, after almost a month doing woodwork on the balcony, we decided to change a bedroom into an indoor workshop.

We get rid of almost all the furniture we have there, except couple of things that still useful for the woodwork such as book shelves and a desk.
In this case we use a rather-useless desk for our workbench (of course because of the minimum budget) ;)

Bike Shelf

It is started when we were having a furnishing project in our friend's house, while we were looking for the idea he showed us about Bike-Shelf created by Chris Brigham (thanks a lot to him for the inspiration, wish we cold meet him someday).
You can check the link :http://knifeandsaw.wordpress.com/bike-shelf/ , the design is really cool and we really wanted to buy it, but since the price is too expensive -US$ 300 or about IDR 2,8 million- we decided to build it ourself.

Photobucket

As usual, we use the used pine wood for the material and clear gloss finishing. It has 6 cm diameter to hang the frame and 25 cm clearance from the frame axis. Then we use a wood joint to stud the shelf to the wall.

It will cost IDR 300.000 per item exclude shipping or delivery cost.

Thanks.

Self-made Tablesaw

As we told before we start this project with a very tight budget, we don't have enough money to buy a tablesaw (it's about US$ 1500) so we make our own tablesaw. We transform a circular saw and a sheet of 18 mm plywood to a small tablesaw! and you know, its precise! :D

Starting Woodworking

Hello everyone, after much effort we did to make money, finally we decided to build a woodworking workshop.

We started in a very tight budget and minimum knowledge, so maybe in a couple of month we have to learn much about woodworking first, while we preparing all the tools and hardware we need for the workshop. In this very condition, we have almost all the machinery tools builded manually by ourself.

The Team : Tirto & Ficky

Balcony Workshop

We (Tirto & Ficky) are friends for about 16 years, since we were on kindergarten till now. Tirto is study on architecture major and Ficky is on graphic design. We love woods and we have same desire on woodworking, so about a year ago we tried to learn about making wooden furniture, and we slowly try to make the cuts on wood ourself in the 2nd floor balcony.
